Complaint:
Tachometer in instrument cluster (A1) fluctuates by approx. 100 rpm.
Note:
The complaint is observable primarily when idling.
Cause:
Dirt in the tachometer stepper motor in the instrument cluster (A1)
Remedy:
Check the engine speed on cold start and in warm-up with Xentry Diagnostics under Motor electronics (ME) control unit -> Actual values ->
Combustion engine. If the engine speed in the actual values is constant and the tachometer in the instrument cluster (A1) fluctuates,
remove/install/replace instrument cluster as per EPC (A1).
