Supersedes Technical DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR Group 00 number 10 - 10 dated September 1, 2010 for reasons listed below.

Affected Vehicles

Condition

When the ambient temperature is very high, the air conditioning is on, and the car is at operating temperature, then there might be a noise while the

car is making a turn. This noise only occurs if the large radiator cooling fan is running on High.

This noise can be described as a power steering noise, brake noise or belt noise.

Technical Background

The noise is caused by the large cooling fan. The fan creates air turbulence when driving through a turn. The turbulence is in a frequency range that

travels easily through the structure of the car. Because of that, the frequencies are audible in the passenger cabin.

All systems remain in full function; the symptom has no negative technical influence.

Production Solution

Not applicable.

Service

1. Replace cooling fan with part number 4F0959455P.
