HINT

When one of these DTCs has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the ignition switch to make it possible for the vehicle to

recognize a new device when it is connected.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

(d) Connect a known good connection cable to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly and connect the USB device or "iPod" to the

connection cable.

3. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Testing and Inspection/Reading and

Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear (to 12/2010).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC

(a) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

HINT

If DTCs are detected frequently, replace the multi-media interface ECU.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"

OK -- END (CONNECTION CABLE WAS DEFECTIVE)

5. REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"

(a) Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

HINT

When one of these DTCs has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the ignition switch to make it possible for the vehicle to

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

(d) Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

HINT

If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred

when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.
