Condition
3G MMI malfunctions when iPhone or iPod Touch are connected.
Technical Background
iPhone and iPod Touch with Firmware 3.0 do not work in the vehicle if they contain more than 2,700 tracks. If the units are connected with the
MMI, the normal MMI operation can also be affected.
Other firmware versions are not affected.
Production Solution
New Apple Firmware 3.1.
Service
Inform customers of their options:
^ Customers can limit the number of tracks to less than 2,700.
^ Customers can use their PCs to install Firmware 3.1 or higher on the iPhone or iPod Touch.
