Condition
Customers with servotronic steering (1N3) may complain of a shudder in the steering wheel or a knocking noise when the steering wheel is turned
during parking lot maneuvers or while driving at low speeds (below 5 mph).
Technical Background
Not applicable.
Production Solution An improved high pressure hose was production implemented in January 2010.
Service
Replace power steering hydraulic hose (Figure 1, item 8) as shown in the ETKA drawing above. Also refer to ElsaWeb Chassis >> Suspension,

Tip: It may be necessary to loosen the engine mount to install the newest design hose. The newest hose is single piece design. The upper and lower
portions cannot be separated.
