Remove/Check/Install Front Axle Brake Pads for Mercedes Benz E63 AMG

Remove/check/install front axle brake pads   
Remove/check/install front axle brake pads
 
Remove/check/install front axle brake pads
Remove/check/install front axle brake pads
 
Remove/check/install front axle brake pads
Remove/check/install front axle brake pads
ATTENTION: 
Risk of injury caused by body parts being jammed or crushed. 

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by brake fluid spraying out at high pressure when working on the sbc brake system. 

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into with skin and eyes. 

Risk of Death caused by vehicle slipping or topping off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified. 


1 Raise your E63 up with lifting platform wheel free. 

2Remove the front wheels, remove/install wheels ,rotate if necessary. 

3Check lining thickness of the brake pads and condition of the brake discs. Check lining thickness of brake pads and condition of brake disks.

4Deactivates sbs brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS. 
Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault menory. 

5Detach left front brake pad contact sensor at the left front brake pads contact sensor or the right front brake pads contact sensor or right front brake pads contact sensor connector. 


6 Detach left front brake pads contact sensor connector or right front brake pads contact sensor connector from fixed brake caliper 

7 Hammer out retaining pins with center punch and remove linings retaining plates. 

8 Pull brake pads out of the fixed brake caliper. 

9 Press left front brake pads contact sensor: 1 or right front brake pads contact sensor from the brake pad's pad backing plate. note on installing contact sensor for brake lining wear indicator. 

10 Check fixed caliper or leaks and dust seal for damage. 

11 Press back piston using resetting device. (Brake fluid notes) 

12 Clean perforations in brake disks. 

13 Install in the reverse order 

14 Activate SBS system using STAR DIAGNOSIS 

15 Use STAR DIAGNOSIS to move brake pads towards brake disks. 

16 Check fluid level in brake fluid expansion reservoir and correct if necessary.
