My G87 M2 and My BMW Story
5 years ago I posted my E46 M3 story about all the M cars I had back then, there were 7 different E46 M3s individual colors and rare findings along with other M cars I owned back then. Since then many M cars and other brands have been in and out of my garage including a Brooklyn Grey G87 M2 that I purchased in 2024.
Unfortunately last year had to face an unexpected health issue that forced me to sell everything but managed to keep the M2 until I finished my treatment and got cured. The joy of driving it helped me somehow to overcome the difficult times I faced during this treatment. Thank God I am healthy again and have been able to rebuild my car collection starting with this twilight purple G87 M2, IMO the best M car BMW currently has (just my personal opinion, other M platforms dont jump on me).
Here are some pictures of all my M cars since I started this BMW journey back in 2008, passing through a Porsche GT3 collection to Ferrari and finally settle down with one Ferrari, one Porsche and one BMW M2, I hope you enjoy the pictures and hopefully I wont get blocked for posting other car brands in this thread

Storm Bay Metallic G90 M5 by PSI
At this years Bimmer Invasion in West Palm, we launched two of our newest #BuiltByPSI G9X M5 builds. This Storm Bay Metallic G90 came to us fresh out of its break-in period and ready for a transformation. After getting fully PPF’d and ceramic coated, it was time for some modifications.
We first used this vehicle to develop the PSI G9X Midpipe, before it received the first G9X Akrapovic exhaust released in the States. To fix the excessive wheel gap, we installed AST G90 M5 lowering springs and added a set of Vossen VPS-1 wheels.
[
Now for the aesthetics—every BMW in the U.S. suffers from horrible reflectors. Thanks to our friends at IND, we removed them and filled the area with color-matched front and rear painted reflector sets. To finish off the exterior, we added an Alpha N carbon three-piece splitter, Alpha N carbon rear diffuser, and the Alpha N carbon trunk spoiler.
To dress up the engine bay and add some intake noise, Eventuri sent us one of the first carbon intakes for the S68. Altogether, this is the perfect equation for a great-looking, great-driving daily driver.

From Lotus to M3 – Photoshoot
Sometimes our car swaps make no sense to onlookers but perfect sense to us. This time last year I was lucky enough to have a beautiful, low mileage E92 and a Lotus Exige 430 Cup as a road/track toy. Both fantastic in their own ways, and both intended to be forever “keepers”, whether on the road or in storage.
But life doesn’t always turn out as planned and unfortunately last year it became clear that two would need to become one. The question is what could replace such a pair as a one car “do it all” solution? Answer – a G81 with a few choice mods. This was after test driving an RS6 Performance back to back with an M3. From a driving perspective, there was simply no contest. The M3 felt light, direct, and alive.
I found the right example in December and so far am loving every minute behind the wheel. Hats off to BMW M for giving us such an awesome platform to build from.
Mine will continue to evolve. But at this point the main mods are:
- KW HAS
- TRE exterior carbon
- Milltek 4” single midpipe
- Milltek Sport backbox with valve controller
- 200 cell sports cats
- Eventuri intake system
- Stage 2 tune with Flex-fuel
- 650 – 820bhp switchable map
- Rayaa Forged wheels in 20/21”
Pics of the E92, Exige and G81 below. Each wonderful in their own way.

Attending the Biggest BMW Show In Florida!
Bimmer INVASION never fails to disappoint! We just returned from attending the 2025 INVASION of West Palm Beach and wanted to share our favorite modified BMWs from the show. Interestingly, all our picks are G Series vehicles, which we think is a testament to how strong the aftermarket BMW scene has been over the last several years.
For those not familiar, Bimmer INVASION is a huge event catering to all BMW enthusiasts with a focus on bringing the community together. The show includes festivities such as the burnout competition, drifting, judged car show and much more
We attended to showcase our 1500bhp G87 M2 xDrive drag/show build, meet up with some of our amazing partners and just have a good time.
Without further ado, here are our top picks & If you fancy seeing more of what went on check out our latest YouTube Video here!
This beautiful example of a G99 M5 Touring actually belongs to one of the Co-Founders of Bimmer INVASION, Miguel. He only recently took delivery and went to town on this car. The reason we included this on our list is that this is the most modified wagon variant of the new M5 we’ve seen so far – and what a beautiful color.

This very imposing M5 is owned by a lovely guy from New Jersey who reminded us just how good the new M5 looks in a frozen colour. We’ve seen quite a few with stealth PPF, but there’s nothing like the real deal! This example has some awesome carbon upgrades and one of the first aftermarket exhausts available for the G9X platform.

This aggressive-looking G87 M2 belongs to a gentleman named Gabe who runs an automotive content and marketing company. It’s safe to say he knows how to modify a BMW. What we particularly like about this car is that the murdered-out black look is contrasted with a set of bright silver wheels to keep things classy.

G80 M3 in Imola Red
What an awesome color choice. We love Imola Red – introduced in 1998, this color was available on some final edition E36 M3s, the E46 M3, E39 M5 etc. It’s so cool to see it make an appearance 20 years later on a G80 M3.
Honourable Mentions
Whilst over in the US, we took some time to meet some partners & dealers. iND, for example, who recently built an awesome M5. They were showcasing a new Eventuri product so we had to get involved with some carbon fibre engine bay upgrades.

Adro Inc G87 M2 Facelifts Builds
Automotive styling manufacturer Adro, a company that made its name with its G80/G82 front-end facelift, has now given similar treatment to the G87 M2. Adro’s design merges in some aspects of the F87’s front bumper, and we think they’ve done a really good job.

Of course, we couldn’t not touch on our own car. Coming straight from the drag strip at Texas 2K25 (setting the world’s fastest M2 quarter-mile time), we took our G87 down to West Palm Beach to attend the show and spend some time driving around Florida.

G80 M3 Competition – Full Individual Spec: Dark Malachite / Tartufo Carbon Buckets
Finally picked up my G80 and wanted to kick off a proper build thread.
This is a full BMW Individual spec:
Dark Malachite Green,
Tartufo Buckets
CCBs
The contrast between the green exterior and rich Tartufo interior is something I’ve always wanted. It’s subtle and refined, which was exactly the goal. A big shift from my heavily modified G87.
Pickup day was dark, rainy, and overcast, so the paint doesn’t pop as much as it will under sunlight. Still, I couldn’t be happier. Photos don’t do the Malachite justice, but we’ll get some proper shots soon.
Big thanks to my friend (@westborders.raw) for the delivery day photos.
This car is really special to me, something I’ve always wanted to spec and own. Looking forward to documenting the journey here.
More updates soon. Follow along and my G87 @click_id

Took my bimmer to the Formula Drift Night Lights car meet instead of sleeping like a responsible adult. Worth it.
On a school night no less! Here are some photos I took at the Larry Chen hosted Formula Drift Night Lights meet on 4/3/2025 in the port of Long Beach next to the Queen Mary. The view overlooking Long Beach Grand Prix across the bay was spectacular!
It was such a cool night, and honestly, my photos don’t even come close to capturing how awesome the vibe was. I didn’t take nearly enough pictures because I was too busy just soaking it all in and checking out the cars. Hope you enjoy what I did manage to snap!

A Lamborghini Three-Row? It Will Never Happen: 'It's Not a Lamborghini'
BMW Model Updates For Spring 2025
BMW model updates for spring 2025.
- Increased range for BMW i5 models.
- BMW 228 Gran Coupe starts production with an MSRP of $39,600 plus $1,175 D&H.
- Faster AC charging for certain PHEV models.
- Innovative Seal & Drive Tire Kit debuts on 5 Series models.
Woodcliff Lake, NJ – April 8, 2025… In spring 2025, BMW will enhance its model range with several exciting updates. These include improved efficiency in electric drivetrains, quicker charging capabilities for plug-in hybrids, the introduction of an additional 2 Series Gran Coupe model, and a variety of new features, options, paint colors, and interior trims. These enhancements will make the BMW lineup even more appealing and versatile.
New drivetrain efficiencies mean more range for i5 models
From March 2025, the BMW i5 eDrive40 and xDrive40 models benefit from a number of technical advances that reduce their energy consumption and, thus, improve their range.
The new ranges are as follows (increase from MY2025):
i5 eDrive40 (19-in wheels) 310 mi (+ 5%)
i5 eDrive40 (20-in wheels) 300 mi (+ 8%)
i5 eDrive40 (21-in wheels) 278 mi (+ 3%)
i5 xDrive40 (19-in wheels) 278 mi (+ 5%)
i5 xDrive40 (20-in wheels) 272 mi (+ 4%)
i5 xDrive40 (21-in wheels) 259 mi (+ 4%)
The improvements are due largely to the use of silicon carbide semiconductor components in the power electronics (SiC inverters), as well as optimized wheel bearings that reduce friction and rolling resistance. The use of SiC inverters ensures high efficiency in the transfer of energy from the high-voltage battery to the electric motor. These components are not only more efficient, but also more powerful and more temperature-resistant than semiconductors made of conventional silicon.
Introducing the new 2026 BMW 228 Gran Coupe
In March, production of the two-wheel-drive BMW 228 Gran Coupe began. Powered by the same 2.0-liter, 241-hp TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine found in the 228 xDrive Gran Coupe, the two-wheel-drive variant will sprint from 0-60 in just 6.1 seconds and deliver impressive fuel efficiency.
With a base MSRP of just $39,600 (plus $1,175 destination and handling) the 228 Gran Coupe benefits from all of the enhancements and refinements introduced on the xDrive model last fall, including the standard M Sport exterior design, standard Adaptive M Suspension, BMW Curved Display running BMW Operating System 9, and available systems for automated driving and parking.
Deliveries of the 2026 BMW 228 Gran Coupe are expected to commence in mid-2025.
Faster charging for BMW plug-in hybrid models
A higher AC charging rate will result in significantly reduced charging times for certain BMW plug-in hybrid models. From March production, the 550e xDrive, X5 xDrive50e, and M5 are able to charge at 11 kW, up from the previous 7.4 kW.
Innovative Seal & Drive Tire Kit: mobility made easier
The new Seal & Drive Tire Kit enables customers to continue their journey should a tire puncture occur. The one-piece Seal & Drive Tire Kit includes a magnet and connector pin to secure it to the hub of the affected wheel. A hose then fills the tire with air and sealant using an integrated compressor. Once sufficient pressure is achieved (>20 psi), the journey can continue with the device safely attached to the wheel hub. Drivers can cover a range of up to 120 miles at up to 50 mph.
The Seal & Drive Tire Kit was introduced as standard equipment on all BMW 5 Series models starting with March production.
Colors, interior trims, and digital improvements and enhancements
All BMW 5 Series models can now be ordered with Frozen Portimao Blue metallic paint as well as two new Merino leather interior colors: Dark Violet/Atlas Grey and Taupe/Atlas Grey. The door-mounted switchgear is now finished in high-gloss black.
The new BMW M5 also gains a pair of new interior choices: Dark Violet/Black Merino leather and Taupe/Deep Lagoon Merino leather.
Tanzanite Blue metallic paint is now available on the BMW X6 xDrive40i. And the BMW X7 xDrive40i receives Parking Assistant Professional as standard equipment.
Spring 2025 will also usher in digital enhancements and improvements for several BMW models. The YouTube app will be available for vehicles equipped with BMW Operating System 9 (provided the customer has activated BMW Digital Premium), and owners of those vehicles will also be able to activate a Personal eSIM for improved telephony and to enable a WiFi hotspot. And vehicles running BMW Operating System 8.5 will receive a more intuitive map interface.
Finally, the EPA estimated range for the new 2026 BMW iX xDrive60 is officially 364 miles when equipped with 20-inch Aero wheels on summer tires, 7% higher than projected.
